Isabella Hoffmann was born in 1985 in southern Germany and currently lives in Berlin. She is an experienced film director specializing in documentaries. Her series debut Animals Army, a Joyn Original, was created in collaboration with the renowned film production company X-Filme Creative Pool.

In addition to her work as a filmmaker, Isabella has been working as a high-end retoucher in commercial photography for more than 10 years. Her films are strongly influenced by modern and classic photography. Isabella's directing style is characterized by sensitivity, strength and a close connection to the people she accompanies.
